Entering Meets
This page contains information on how to enter a Track and Field or Cross Country meet for Ocean Athletics members. It is the responsibility of each athlete, or his/her parent, to make note of what events have been registered for, the date, time and location of each meet and event.
The Entries Coordinator will not register any athlete for meets unless they are a registered member of Ocean Athletics and BC Athletics. Please submit email entries to Ted de St. Croix, Entries Coordinator, at tdsc@sotique.com.
Please check the Calendar to see when meets are scheduled and when entries are due to the Entries Coordinator. The calendar contains link to club websites where meet packages can be downloaded.
Submitting entries is a laborious job so please help me out by looking up your own event numbers and sending me those rather than using event names. The optimum meet entry would look like the following,
de St. Croix, Ted, M, 30/08/57, 57-12345, 73, 5.30
with columns for last name, first name, gender, birth date, BCA number, event number, seed time. If you don't know your seed time or BCA number, leave them blank. Some clubs use different entry forms without event numbers so in that case the event name is fine.
Meet Fees
Club membership fees include meet fees for JD, Midget, Youth, Junior, Senior athletes, up to a maximum of four (4) events per meet, plus relays. Athletes registering for more than four events are responsible for paying the cost of each additional event at the time they register for the meet. Meet fees can be paid directly to Ted de St. Croix.
Late Registrants
Many meets do not accept late entrants. If late entries are accepted, any late registration fees will be the responsibility of the athlete. Registering athletes after posted deadlines is an extremely time consuming process, so please save us time and yourself the extra cost by getting entries in as early as possible.
Missed Events
Athletes who are registered for an event paid for by Ocean Athletics but elect not to participate in the event are responsible for the cost of the event. Exceptions will be made if the athlete elects not to participate in the event on the advice of an Ocean Athletics coach.

For the 2011 Track and Field season and the 2011 Cross Country season, athletes will be billed any outstanding fees at the end of the respective season.
