Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at World Masters Indoors

Nicola Everton took the gold in the women's 40-44  800m in 2:24.93, while Jeanie Bezdan took bronze in the women's 45-49 800  in 2:27.67.  Jeanie Bezdan placed 4th in women's 45-49 1500m and Nicola took her 2nd Gold winning the women's 40-44 1500m.  Maureen de St. Croix  won Silver in women's 55-59 1500m,  and Hugh Maguire in the men's triple jump was within 1 cm of the Bronze medal while nursing a bruised heel suffered in training.  Gordon Poljak, our new pole vault coach jumped 3.20 which tied him for Bronze but based on previous jumps (tie breaker) he was placed 4th by judges decision.  Dave Short worked long hours all week officiating and now heads off to help at the Paralympic Winter Games.
