Membership

A competition singlet and shorts are included in your membership once every 2 years. You may purchase other Ocean items (hoodies, rain jacket &/or pants, extra tshirts etc). When you register, please indicate your size so we can fit you. .

Memberships are due January 1st of each year. Memberships paid between January 1st and September 30th are valid until December 31st. New memberships paid after Sept. 1st are $200 ($50 refund if you pay for the following season as well). This is a one time membership which allows the club to accept members at the end of a calendar year. You are granted 2 free sessions to try out the club before you join. Our fees are amongst the lowest in the province for Track & Field clubs, plus your uniform and most meet fees are covered by the membership fee.

Please bring your club membership fee cheque and your volunteer bond cheque to your 1st training session and give them to either your coach or Ted de St. Croix. Volunteer bond cheques are to be dated Nov. 1. Please see your coach if you wish to make your membership payment in two installments. $200 due now, remainder by the end of February.

All fees includes club racing uniform, BC Athletics fee & insurance, coaching, meet fees for JD, Midget, Youth, Junior, Senior (max 4 events/meet). Masters shall cover their own meet entry fees. BC Team and National Team fee subsidies are a beneift of Junior and Senior memberships.

Seahorse fee includes entry fee into 2 TrackRascal events if available. Ocean Athletics hosted events are free to Ocean Athletics members. Senior Members must register prior to June 1st. in order to receive entry fee and BC Team or National Team subsidies.

Volunteer fee is refundable upon completion of 10 volunteer units and is based on 10 volunteer units per family. Families with multiple members may submit fees on Mar 1 (1st child), April 1 (2nd child) and remainder due on May 1. Families can reduce their membership fees by $50 per child for the 3rd child or more.
