Welcome to the Ocean Athletics Track and Field Club

Ocean Athletics was formed in January of 2006 in response to the completion of a track and field facility in South Surrey.  Since 2006, Ocean Athletics has grown to become one of British Columbia’s largest full service track and field clubs, offering year round programs for athletes 7 years of age and older.

The club is divided into the Seahorse Program (ages 7 & 8), the Junior Development Program (ages 9-13), the Midget through Senior Program (ages 14-34), and the Masters Program (ages 35+).  Ocean’s exceptional team of coaches provide coaching and training in Sprints, Hurdles, Jumps (long  jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault), Throws and Middle Distance running including Cross Country running.   Training sessions are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm, and Saturdays 10am – noon.  Additional training sessions are set up based on athlete and seasonal need.

Yearly membership fees cover coaching, training and competition from January 1st to December 31st. Membership fees also include the mandatory BC Athletics membership and a competition top .   Member intake occurs throughout the year.  Yearly membership fees are listed below.    There is no set time line for entry into our programs.  Memberships run January to December but fees are not prorated until September 1st.  Track and Field memberships are based on birth year, not birth date.  A January 2008 child and a November 2008 child are both in the 10 year old category.

Prospective new members are invited to join us for one session at no obligation.  This is not a tryout but an opportunity to see if Ocean Athletic's programming is what you are looking for.  Membership fees are non-refundable once paid.

Memberships are now due once you are training with Ocean Athletics.  You must renew your membership every year so that we have sport insurance for you.
