Track & Field June 9-10, 2010. South Surrey Track 5:30-9:00 pm.
All track events, Women run before Men.
Day 1 of 2. 6pm - 8:30pm South Surrey Athletics Facility.

- Athletes wishing to try out for Pentathlon, Steeplechase or Racewalk will be judged from other events*
Note: the actual BC Summer Games will take place July 22nd – 25th and participating athletes will be required to attend
For the duration. Team fees and uniform fees must be paid either by affiliated club or the individual.
Declaration forms must be completed while at the Trials.

Pentathlon (Declare upfront and compete within trials.)
Pole Vault – not contested, submit school or club results for consideration to team
Selections. BCHS champs, Fraser Valley HS Champs.
1500M Race Walks – not contested, as above.
1500M Steeplechase – not contested, participants in the 1500M and 3000M will be considered for selection to a Steeplechase selection as well as other meet results.
No guarantees, except that if you win the event, and your mark is higher
Than the 8th place finish of the last 3 BC Summer Games, then you will be
Selected.
Standard Selection is 18 Men and 18 Women. And then we submit Wildcard
Nominees, Zone 3 is usually very strong and we get some Wildcard spots.
In 2008 Zone 3 was well represented with 50 athletes.
Note: If athlete is selected to compete in Pentathlon, then they can not do any other events.
Conflict for athletes who wish to run both the 100M and 300M, it’s the same at BC Summer Games, we likely do not want somebody to run both!
Conflict for athletes who wish to run both the 200M and 300M Hurdles, as above,

Costs:
Zone 3 Trials event costs:
$5 for the first event.
$3 for the second event.
$10 maximum (3+ events) including Pentathlon.
Non-BC Athletics members, add $3 per day.
Zone 3 definitions:
The zone of the athlete is determined by their primary residence:
Zone 3 includes Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Maple Ridge, Mission and Hope.
(Zone 4 includes Delta, Richmond, New Westminster and Burnaby.)
Eligibility: Athletes born in 1995 and 1996 only. Non-BCA members will be required to show
Birth certificate or other age identification.
